[Forum Petition] Make the "Do not flame" rule more descriptive

now, i cant be a one to proclaim the rules are perfect and that badspot is fair 100% of the time but seriously?

no i didn't make it for that reason, even though hes my friend i just keep seeing people getting banned like this and this was the straw that broke the camels back.

In that case, what the hell? Is that post -really- worthy of a perma ban? If it was only a week ban to have the guy learn a lesson to not post something like that again, but really? It just doesn't make sense to me.

this was his 7th ban, but it was still uncalled for.

he was raging at someone for the stupidest reason possible, he probably reported boink's post like an idiot, giving badspot a good chuckle while also putting his own post in his attention

Lol. 7th ban, that's a pretty large amount. So many people have gotten banned for repeat offenses and a ban history. Why are you only crying now? Because he's your friend? Your circle of (stupid)friends are intolerable.

I do believe that some forum rules need to be more elaborated. But the thing is, Badspot doesn't read all of the forum posts to check if they all meet the rules. He has better things to do. He only reads posts that are reported, or the ones that stands out the most (forum Self Delete, drama about Tezuni that has more than 1000 views, etc). This means no matter how much a user's post is flaming, the user wont be banned since nobody reports him. This creates a wolf pack-esque mentality in the Blockland community; no matter how much a person is flaming, nothing happens to him as long as he is attacking a person who everybody hates.

christ almighty, this isint just about me and my friends or just about blockguy's post its about any other person thats been banend for flaming when their post wasn't actually flaming.

recently kaiiu was banned for flaming when he was being sarcastic in a post, even though i don't like kaiiu i don't think that was the proper ban reason, it couldve been something like "assholish sarcasm" not just "flaming"

Blockguy's ban was justified, so was Kaiiu's. If they aren't smart enough to not get banned repeatedly, tough stuff.

the rules are fine as is, you should have the ability to be able to know what is overboard flaming (which gets you banned fairly easily) versus typical run-of-the-mill "called for" flaming (someone being a handicap).

if anything it's the opposite, it says pretty clearly "if entire point of your post is to call someone an idiot," which will typically apply just to smaller posts
