Any games where you can destroy a city?

Please tell me there is some type of game where you can be a god or whatever and have all kinds of ways to destroy it and stuff

When I saw an ad for SimCity once, I thought that's what I could do:
Make a city, and then call down some form of apocalypse on it.
I'm still not sure if you can, because I've never gotten SimCity.

you literally ARE a god, you build up cities and armies and whatever the forget and you can be an starfish evil god and destroy everything.  there's an expansion too if you enjoy it.  has some good physics (hard to figure at first but eventually you get the hang of it in terms of mouse and inertia into your input).

the prequel, the first black and white, is similar, however it's much harder to find + doesn't run well on later than Windows XP + doesn't have really "city building", more like "village building".

You can degrade a city to the bone in GTA.

I don't think there are many games that fit your criteria.

Black and White 2 was released in 2005. It's going to look dated, but it doesn't look like 'crap'.

Whether stuff looks "crap" is always set by the modern graphics standard, not by the release time of the game
