Author Topic: Stupid rules your school has, enforced or not  (Read 8784 times)

we have uniforms.
we must wear khaki pants/shorts
our shoes cant be solid colors (blue, red, green, etc)
our shoelaces cant be solid colors (blue, red, green, etc)
must tuck in shirt
must wear belt, which cant be solid colors
must wear lanyard with student ID at all times

my school is pretty reasonable, it still has the no hats stuff but i mean that's pretty much average now

I can't think of any rules at my school. It's probably the most laid back school in the county. I come to class high once a week and I usually just leave after 3rd period if I get over it. (There's 4 periods in a day)

wow man you are so badass i wish i could be just like you

smokin that kool kush rite??

livin the dreem

Oh, man. Where do I start.

Washington-Lee High School.

So they have the strictest rules about tardiness I've ever seen. 5 minutes after the ridiculously arbitrary school start time, (8:19) they lock the doors. All of the entrances to the school get locked down tight. To get in, you have to buzz the door-control person and explain to them in utter detail why you are late and that you aren't a terrorist.

No hats, no jackets other than sweatshirts indoors, no open-toed shoes (that's not really a huge issue but some people don't like it)

oh also I've noticed a correlation with art/weapons/anger. A couple of years ago, I drew like stuff, and if I drew a weapon on my paper they'd flip a stuff, but now that I've gotten a lot better at art they're just like "wow cool keep drawing"

Oh also, they get mad at me for exercising. During the 50 minute lunch period, I run a 5K, shower in the locker room, and then eat lunch. After administration realised I was doing this they flipped stuffs and tried to suspend me??? what the forget man like really. They got mad at me for running on the public track.

My schools pretty chill. We don't even enforce our dresscode. Honestly, the only thing I've ever heard anyone get in trouble for is drug possession on campus or fighting.

EDIT: Oh, yeah. We're not really cool with people ditching class. I've never heard of anyone getting in trouble for ditching class, but once my teacher didn't see me and marked me absent and I got a call home about it and if I hadn't clarified to the teacher that I was there I would have expected to receive some kind of punishment.

when drug possession happened on campus a few times in the past few years in my school we had police and the top staff going through the hallways like military police it was cool

How could that even be enforced?
That's what everyone thought. I got a detention because they found an SAT prep book in my backpack. We also have peer report system where students tell on other students who are studying.

bunch of dumb rules regarding sports in general, no jackets, backpacks, hats or tight clothing of any sort. guys have to keep their shirts on but for some reason the CC team doesnt get in trouble for it which is loving dumb. theres also a no pda rule, which straight couples get in trouble for but the two fat ugly lesbian couples practically forget in the hallways and never get in any sort of trouble. if you point it out to a teacher then they just say its discrimination, like no forget you they are fat ugly bitches i want to get to class without throwing up.

no backpacks allowed in school?

no backpacks allowed in school?
basically, they say to not have them at all but they will allow you to have them if you only bring them out at the start and finish of school

Bathroom is strictly locked when not in recress. We had 2 cases of students vomiting outside the windows and no one gives a plain stuff.
Also, no skirts for girls, no tank tops, no shorts for boys.
If we need to change class rooms to go to another discipline if the teacher is not there (they generally are not there, they need to come) we need to stay and wait outside, because the guard does not let anyone through.
Not to mention we have like 6 guards for a 3-story school.

in the last year of my middle school we had this new headteacher,
he was pretty swell until he thought of this rule called the 3 strikes.
you'd get a strike if your shirt was untucked or if your shoelaces were undone. it was loving handicapped and he lost popularity within the pupils immediately.

my high school was okay, i guess. we couldn't run in the corridors for obvious reasons (GOTTA GO FAST).
my high school was also full meme posters and justin bieber. me and my friends tore them down on the last day and replaced it with top kek.

Well at my old middle school. We where not allowed to bring our laptops because the school wifi "Doesnt have the block". Which is bullstuff as the wifi has the same blocks as the schools computers.
Other than that i cant think of dumb rules expect for No cell phones during launch.

Oh, we weren't allowed to bring them backpacks into classrooms, they had to be left in our lockers, but this rule was rarely enforced.
Most of the teachers that did enforce it, only did so in rooms where space was limited. And when it was enforced, all they made you do was put them in the back of the room, a couple teachers made you leave them outside the door
