What should happen to the price of HamHost?

Make it completely free. All features of the web control panel will br available for everybody.
Keep it free/premium, but give half of the features to free users.
Continue making more (web) control panel features for premium users, and occasionally make one for unpaid clients.
Keep adding more control panel features for premium users, but add none for free clients.
Make HamHost paid-only.

Wait so nothing can be 100% DDoS-proof?

Nope, it's just a matter of having a large enough, solid infrastructure. If you just have one physical machine handling everything, in most cases you'll be fairly screwed by a DDoS. Probably not by a simple DoS though, depends.

The mac client is broken and The setKey thing isnt working

EDIT: I just dont know how to run the .sh file lol

Important message
There appears to be some CPU usage problems with 2 servers. After running for a few hours, the CPU usage of the Blockland servers goes straight up to 51%, which means it is maxing out one CPU core. It lags everybody playing, and doesn't stop until I restart the server. Unfortunately, all console.log's are overwritten, so I have to wait until the problem comes up again. About 2 days ago, it started happening on Xeidious's server, but now it has spread to Uxie's server. This error also happened with the Hammereditor+Pacnet2012 hosting service last year.

It was working for me on my PC and Mac.

To Ham:

I just sent an email to the support mail.

How do you run the .sh?

Open terminal, CD to the directory the sh is in, then try :

bash RunMe.sh

if not, then try these :

sh RunMe.sh

chmod +x RunMe.sh

or

bash RunMe, sh RunMe, etc.

You may have to allow it to execute with Gatekeeper.

If not, just try :

cd ./resources/JRE/Home/bin/

java -jar hhcpclient.jar

I think we are currently experiencing a DDoS attack. I'm trying to ping the server, and on average, I only get 1 packet back out of the 4 that were sent. Remote desktop doesn't work for 7 minutes, then works for 40 seconds, and goes on and off. Most HamHost servers have --- ping. I was able to get a quick glimpse in resources usage in Task manager, and CPU and ram usage are normal, except there is significant network activity.
Also, when I play on my Blockland server, the client's rendering seems to warp and turn from side to side. When I try to plant a brick, it takes about 700ms for the server to do it.

The attack seems to have stopped now.

well how did you come to that conclusion? are you sure it's not just your poor network connectivity given you're using a budget vps provider? assuming its some malicious attack with no evidence is dangerous

doesn't a VPS get notified when DDoS takes place? Or some network chart showing the amount of packets being received?

It probably was. During the attack, the connectivity remained just high enough for me to use Remote Desktop, and I opened task manager, and the incoming throughput was ~185 Mbps. The outgoing speed was ~182 Mbps.
So I'm sure it was a DDoS attack.

did you try using chmod +x RunMe.sh first?

Hammer, why is my server not showing on the server list? I never used the CPanel to shut it down or put it off-line.

That was a port problem. Your server was on port 30101, but I restarted it now and it's on port 30100. I accidentally ran your server twice yesterday.

Alright, thanks for resolving the issue.
