It has doge.

Oh, oh. And fish that get away from you.
Aand.... The sounds of weapons change from interior to exterior!
And... and... we have a exo-skeleton suit!
Don't forget the doge.

i don't get it, people make dumb bullstuff complaints like this about cod and battlefield, but not about pokemon, elder scrolls, or basically any franchise ever
(hint: it's because they're stupid and unwilling to admit they're blindly band wagoning)

i liked blops 2 because it was colorful

you cant just have realistic textures and think they will look nice under changing light.

even blockland cant use any 1 light setting. depending on the sky setting you use, the entire color-palette changes shades dramatically.

so for photorealism, you have to keep things darker. so that the brightness of the hdr light dosnt glare it up like some cartoon.

Maybe because pokemon and skyrim arent generic first person shooters that all look the same.

Skyrim:

MW3:

BO2:

Skyrim is a great game, but I believe its terrain is really lackluster and lacks color.

MW3 and Black Ops 2 are waay more colorful than Skyrim, or even Battlefield.

unless they show something really good and a good reason for me to get it

i wont buy it

i always end up saying the same thing before a call of duty game comes out

"meh, looks about the same as the others."

then i end up playing it and having fun. i dont know what it is, but the gameplay is always fun for me. maybe im too easy to please idk.

no stuff, it's tundra.  tundra isn't colorful.  it's bleak, miserable, cold and barely habitable.

But WAR?!?! OF COURSE war is full of HAPPINESS and COLOR and SUNSHINE! why doesn't CoD get that?!

what happened to the time where people didn't care about how the game looked and played because it was fun :c

well I'll be playing this and bf4 pretty often.

Shooters are overrated and hurt the other game genres. I've seen fewer and fewer strategy games being made every year, turn based games are dead because people would rather watch stuff in real time with cinematic type action. Developers would rather invest tons of money into graphics to appeal to the young casuals who think good looks = good gamplay rather than gameplay.

Look at the Fallout community, the game was made in 1998 with 2.5d sprites and still has an active community who makes mods for the game and modifies the engine to this day. Fallout 3 had some interesting things to look at like the overview of dc when you leave the vault. However it's color pallet consists of greens and browns and it's gameplay was pretty clunky and repetitive(every quest being go somewhere and shoot something).

Also this whole fanboyism thing they created is pretty bad. I'm looking at the BF3 and CoD players who argue over which game is better. Battlefield and 1942 were both ww2 shooters, however different styles of gameplay. BF3 and CoD:MW are both modern day shooters cashing off the generic terrorists and typical badguy nations(china, Russia, iran). It's become who is a better type thing, who makes the best graphics, destructible terrain, and hype. A lot of the older Battlefield veterans agree that the game tries to emulate cod like with the close combat DLC.
