Author Topic: I start college tomorrow!  (Read 5047 times)

What do you mean? Did you think you'd die, or that elementary school-high school was too difficult?

What do you plan on doing? (For Alyx and Count)
No lol, its just that college has always been so far away in my mind. It's overwhelming now that im going. Also I am majoring in biology and hope to go to medical school after.

I only attacked the "cause I'm bad at it" reason because that was the only one you stated.
I don't know about Count, but when I go to college, I'm either walking or biking to my classes. There's no reason to take a car when you might be stuck in traffic and be late when you could get some extra exercise~

Same here. Bike and walking. Oh and about the excercise...they got me covered.

Pics of my residence hall (It's newly renovated. Cost 50 million to renovate!!

It looks awesome! If anyone wants to see more pictures, they got a galley on azcentral:

I don't live in cities so biking and walking is way out of the question.
I'm not going to buy another vehicle just to get to a campus, thats another 3k out of my pocket.
Also sitting in an office is WAY out of the question, I have to get up and move around.

Why not university?

I'm sorry, this is what I meant. I tend to use the word college to describe everything.
I would like to attend MIT.

Alyx, we misunderstood each other.
I meant that once you're at college to get a bike/walk to classes, not go from home, lol. I never said to buy a new vehicle. You can take one there with your parents and then bike/walk for the rest of university and leave the car with your parents.

I want to move around also, and be able to do research and work with other engineers in the same field as I to solve issues and cure diseases.

I've been in college since July 6th of this year, and trust me it's awesome.
(I attend DeVry University in Pittsburgh, if you're curious.)
It's such an adventure, you've finally got freedom to do things how you want to do them. I really hope you like ramen noodles dude, hah.

Good luck man!

I'm scared of going to school on Monday because i dont know anyone and i dont even know what to do, where to go regardless i dont even have an id forgetforgetforget, i wont be able to sleep in either so im forgeted literally.

Calm down.
With freshman I joined a week or 2 late and still turned out fine.
With Sophomore I transferred during the last month and I was fine.

You'll get through just fine as long as you don't walk in acting like you lack sense.

Congrats man. Have fun!

All my friends have either shipped off to bootcamp or went to college. I'm gonna go in a little later, possibly for free thanks to the Gi bill.

bro ive changed schools like 6 times in my life, i know how it is. what would really help you out  is if you joined a sport, when youre on the team guys will have your back just dont force yourself onto them. make a friend in every class, make sure youre sort of noticed but dont be weird or too flashy. dress well, dont try to force yourself onto anyone, stay confident.

just try hard not to you know
shoot up the campus

I start college the day after tomorrow and I've been living in the dorms since the 11th.

Hm.
How many years of college did you go for it? (if any)

It's a trade but I have my BFA. There's tons of stuff out there and I could do any number of them.

Hopefully sometime in the future I can apply to Mont Blanc and get trained in Germany.

Congrats on the BFA. What other trades would you like to do?

Also good luck with the Mont Blanc thing.
