According to this Half life 3 IS in development. Says they are hoping to have a trailer for e3 2014. So that will be interesting. And it's going to be on next gen consoles as well as PC.

There's just one thing I don't understand about Left 4 Dead 3...















Besides some new campaigns and survivors, what new things could it possibly bring to the table to shake things up, besides maybe some new Special Infected or weapons?

if it changes anything else, then it wouldn't be l4d

So L4D gets a 3rd game, CS gets a 3rd game, but no Day of Defeat 3.

l4d will now be a single player third person shooter, guns will be much rarer and harder to use, melee weapons will be more common and they will introduce 2 new mechanics...

Well it's more like 4 with condition zero(that I forgot about), 5 if you count the mod. But you get the idea that DoD is neglected.
