Author Topic: Anyone have a nightmare, wake up, and something odd happen?  (Read 1850 times)

i woke up once, got out of bed, and saw a yeti
yay

haven't had nightmares in years.

dreamcatchers brothers

My brother is the same. I used to get pretty bad nightmares as a toddler and a kid over very stupid things, and I still do.

I only wish I could remember my dreams. For me, I just fall asleep, and then...

I wake up. It's quite saddening. :'(

no but one time i thought there was a tiny dragon on a shelf but it was a shadow

I rarely have nightmares (if any at all) unless I'm sick, in which they become daydream-at-night hallucinations where everything is messed up (things out of order, chaotic events, mental crowds, etc) and I roll around in my bed silently freaking out.
I can't really even comprehend most of what happens because it's mostly just a heavy stressful feeling.

I know what your problem is

I guess it could be sleep paralysis.

Oh yeah when I was a kid once, like when I was 4-6, I usually screamed so loud on purpose (I don't know if this was part of the dream?) and then I immediately had some odd loving nightmares after it.

Like one time I was in YMCA and I was seeing my dad get eaten by a monster :(

Once I had 4 false awakenings in a row.

FOUR IN A loving ROW

I used to have nightmares about this motherforgeter when I was young.

Back when I had really bad depression I used to see stuff, have terrible nightmares, and exploding head syndrome (this always scared me because I would think someone had shot me).

One dream I had was:

Quote
I was down in a cave area, it was quite dark but there was a bit of environmental light in the whole cave; it had a bluish tint. There were these shadowy figures that moved around in the distance. I couldn't really depict them, but they looked humanoid. I ventured deeper into the cave. I noticed a large cavern, it was quite cold (I actually started to feel really cold). I walked around; I looked behind me and noticed one of the shadowy figures getting closer and closer to me. I started walking away from it; it got closer and closer, and I saw what it was. It was a pure black person, wearing no clothes or anything but had only a white mask on with two black holes in it. I kept walking away and it chased forward. I noticed more and more coming, wearing different masks (kinda like masquerade ones, but still white colored). I woke up with a cold sweat as they got within reaching distance of me. I don't understand what the dream meant.

Another one I had:

Quote
I was at my grandmothers, it seemed as if the whole dream was in black and white. I walked around and sat on my bed and looked out the window across from my bed. It looked like any ordinary day, but there was nobody around. I went outside and walked around the village a bit. No one was still around, except for one person who was on the liftbridge. I couldn't get a good look of him or her, but I saw him/her jump off the bridge and into the water. For some reason I couldn't control myself and I jumped in as well. That's where the dream ended. I guess this might have signified my desire for Self Delete and my lack of hope for life.

What's it like waking up each time?
It feels exactly like waking up for real, it's incredibly vivid. In fact on my 3rd false awakening I went through half a normal school day before I somehow fell off the top of the building

Sometimes I'll wake up with hundreds of red spiders all over me or random stuff like doll faces doing that creepy head turning thing before flying at me like some stuffty movie jumpscare.

It's funny, none of my nightmares have jumpscares. They are all suspenseful and have subtle horror.
