Author Topic: Anyone have a nightmare, wake up, and something odd happen?  (Read 1836 times)

mine are more the "you cant do stuff and that panther that is in your house for some reason is gonna eat you." dreams
exactly the same, except mine are more like hellhounds and monsters

Oh my.
This is why I occasionally do something to check if I'm dreaming or not. In my case: I try and poke my thumb through the palm of my hand.
When you're dreaming, it works perfectly. In real life, obviously not.

(Never do a reality check by looking in the mirror)
never
ever
ever

you will see scary stuff

like your mother-in-law

I actually tried that once, I have this huge mirror in my room and so obviously it's there when I'm dreaming

I saw nothing

the mirror was gone

I have those every once and a while, but mine are mostly, "Hey what's that thing? Oh bugger, it's gone, might as well go th- OH GOD WHERE DID YOU COME FROM?! RUNRUNRUN, OH BOLLOCKS IT'S GETTING CLOSER!"

No but really, if you saw something in the mirror.
It could actually turn the dream into a nightmare, in which you become sub-lucid.

I used to lucid dream all the time as a kid but i never did anything cool and now i've never had a lucid dream in a very long time and im sick of my brain's stuff.

Although my dreams are actually really loving cool. If they aren't weird prediction dreams that come true the next day then It's probably some hours-long giant robot fighting dream where a ton of stuff goes down (like me fighting giant robots) but I wake up before it ends. I can continue it after waking up but it's never as good.

Speaking of that, have you ever had a good dream, and you woke up.
Then you tried to finish it in your conscious head. I hate that.

Some times even before I go to sleep I peek at my closet and make out people figures.
Then I turn around and go to sleep.
