Instead, you have very specific Bible verses condemning it, and children are often scolded for asking the simple, innocent questions that are in a child's curious nature to ask.
Parents who scold their children for asking are only doing that because they're uneducated and don't know the answer themselves. It's wrong of them to do that
And there are no Bible verses condemning good research and investigation to test and see if it is valid. The only verse I can think of that you may be referring to is the one that says "you should not test the Lord your God" or something along those lines, and that's referring to something totally different.
In context, it means that you shouldn't go to God and say, "If you're real, then do this miracle at this exact moment in this exact way to prove it to me. If it doesn't happen then you're not real." Which is what a lot of people do. And the reason that doesn't work is because when you do that you're acting like God is obligated to answer to you. That just doesn't work
If you truly wanted a sign, (which is another problem, most people don't really want to see a sign when they ask) you would first do some investigation on your part and try and do things on his terms.
Say you got a new boss for example, you can email him but he can't email back because his program is broken or something. You don't believe you got a new boss so you email him saying
"Hey boss, I don't believe you're actually hired yet. But if you are then just leave a broom by the front door of the office before you leave tomorrow. Or else I won't believe what my coworker says about you being here or about any of your so called orders." That's what most people do, and to be honest, it's done with the wrong attitude and it seems a little disrespectful. So why should the boss follow through? You would be out of line, not him
Light doesn't come before a source of light. Stars don't come after a planet is established.
one verse in Genesis says "God stretched out the heavens." God could have always made the stars closer to earth, then made them move outward- explaining why the universe is expanding and why we can see stars
