Shaders would look a lot better with the multiple light levels. It seems that the screenshot being a DOF screenshot helped a bit to make the effect better, but it'd still look much better than the shaders we have now.

I'm not saying removing maps was a bad idea, but when people try to prove their point, they find the most ugly picture of terrain they could possibly find and compare it to exceptional shadows & shaders screenshots. Hard to take someone like that seriously if they don't look at it in a balanced way.

why did they take a DOF screenshot? they should show us what is looks like when we're actually playing, not a filtered screenshot to build up hype.

The DOF hardly affects what is being shown off

Basically what I heard was "Someone give me a copy of Blockland v19/v20!"

I kinda have to agree, say, look at all the people who dont have beast ass computers!
They dont even get shaders.
So this update for them was a UI change and removal of maps, they didnt even get the good peice.
I hate to say it, but I honestly do think some things that can be possible if badspot does a stuffload of work on blockland.
Here's a list of ideas? maybe?
- Make alternate brick textures compatible with your client so you see the brick textures that you put into your folder work on every server.
- Remove shaders, reimplement maps but make better textures for the maps so they dont look like stuff
- Removing shaders and putting maps back might make the community better?
Theres some ideas I came up with.
i'm pretty sure removing maps was not a requirement to add shaders. they just both came in the same update. ideally they would try to work shaders for maps, or rework the terrain system so it works better with maps.

imo the vehicle physics were the more buggy than the maps. i think the devs should've focused on the vehicle physics instead of the shaders.

Didn't Rotondo or Badspot say that fixing up vehicle physics were impossible, even though Rotondo's still trying to tweak them up a bit?
