Author Topic: Need some help for my MultiMedia class - FCP/Mac OS X for Windows?  (Read 2300 times)

Is there a way that I can get Final Cut Pro for my project on a Windows computer, or at least a program that accepts Final Cut Pro files?

My school owns Macs and I need a way to get the Mac software onto my Windows computer - is this possible?

Help me, please.

EDIT:

So I realized my only two options are that I need to find Final Cut Pro that can work on Windows or some type of Software that can allow a simulated Macintosh computer on Windows.

Any ideas?

Isn't there a way to make your PC a Mac?

Not sure, but so far I can't find anything that can assist me for this.

your school uses macs?

what the actual forget

No, not the WHOLE SCHOOL (thank God) only my MultiMedia class, honestly, it's so horrid how this one class only uses Macs too, thus, not allowing us to work at home or at other places without Macs.

Sorry, Adobe Premiere pro is the Windows version of Final Cut Pro, but I don't think it can run Final Cut Pro files. When you get the chance, Ask your teacher, they might know how to help also.

same, my video production class uses MAC's with super slow mouses.
hnnngg...

That's really loving creepy. My school also has a multimedia class, and that said class is the only class with macs with final cut installed, and everyone else has a windows computer.

...Do you go to hi-point?

The connection is fast at my school, but it takes like ten seconds to get to one side of the desktop to the other. *shudder*

We have Adobe Premiere Pro, too. Fortunately, it's for Windows as well - thing is, I need any program that can accept Final Cut Pro files.

maybe you can find something that converts final cut pro project files to windows formats.

Is there any software that can do that? I looked for everything possible, Final Cut Pro for Windows, Mac software for Windows and some conversions, but I'm having some trouble.

Please let me know if there's a way to convert this stuff!

you could try exporting the files in final cut pro into a different format that a windows program can use

Also my school uses final cut pro.

must be another ARG!

The thing with that is, I exported already from my school and it's due Monday and I won't be back at the hub of school until Monday.
