Author Topic: so what do you guys think about white people using "the n word"  (Read 3667 times)

when u avoid saying brother that is when you are being tribal

I don't think it's too bad unless you're saying it just to piss someone off or to actually be tribal, but death threats are a little bit too much.
this guy is getting death threats i think because he made siri call him "my brother" or something.

anyone who is offended by monday, WANTS to be offended.
aso forget them and their feelings

this reaction is definitely unwarranted. i'd understand if he said it like "man i hate mondays" but he didn't. he just used the word, without malicious intent. people need to lighten the forget up.

its just a variation of "black" in spanish
Bro -> monday

i dont see whats wrong with that

we're talking about the people who forgot about the law of conservation of mass because of a chocolate bar gif

i made a poll

i think i should stop making so many polls

I think it's a terrible word with a terrible history. I think nobody should use it, even if you're black or white. The N word is the worst derogatory word because of how it was used throughout 300+ years.

the thing is saying it is like a part of black culture now and i don't think it's going anywhere

The only white people who bother to use it are white teenagers over the internet who try to seem cool.

But yeah I don't think it's a big deal when people like this
"the n word" lol

mondays need to stop getting offended so easily especially since they are equally or even more tribal than white people.
say it

In a lot of places it's just an extremely rude word, nevermind racism. It doesn't always automatically imply that the user of the word is prejudice, it's just a really inappropriate word. I don't freak out if people use it, but people should really be more considerate of others' feelings. If the word offends people, is it so freaking difficult to just not say the word? Think before you speak, it's that simple. I get really sick of people complaining when they aren't allowed to curse whenever and wherever they want

I heard some dude call a lady a monday because she flipped him off, welcome to Florida but I think "monday" is bad, but not "brother".

I agree, and black parents have got to teach their kids to stop it. It's not right. You don't see Jews calling each-other the K word, and you don't see other groups calling each-other tribal words to one another. It should be abolished in schools and at home. Usage of it shouldn't be tolerated. It's not a part of black culture. I use to think that years ago since I'm a city boy and I tend to see many ghetto blacks but go down to the rural south, you will see how fine all of them are. African American culture is alive and well but it isn't visible in the urban cities which is sad. I'm not black but I respect them very much so as a people, I think they are misunderstood group.
