i dont believe love is some magical force like some people seem to here

i believe love is something that can develop over time. it doesn't need to be there when you start the relationship. all you need to start the relationship is some sort of initial attraction. from there, you get to know each other better and that's where the love comes in.

i think love and physical attraction are independent, but i don't believe you can have a healthy relationship if you love someone but aren't physically attracted to them.
this sounds about right

I'm surprised that no one's posted the dictionary definition yet. Then again... Maybe that's a good thing.

It's not a checklist you have to complete. There's not a set amount of points you have to hit before you can fall in love.

When you feel you're in love, then you're in love. Everyone loves differently.

Boltster is just Boltster. lol
You're the one who came in and quoted him unprovoked saying I'M NOT ARGUING WITH YOU several times even though he never addressed you in the first place.

I got in a debate about it today with people about how long it takes to "love" someone.

I said you would know if you loved someone within a week, but you wait a few months to understand those feelings you harbor for someone. You can develop something with someone over a period of months, but ultimately you will always have the same feelings, just the intensity will change.

Love is actually an illogical delusion and a salient symptom of a weaker race, we must detach ourselves and discard love in contest for glory.

You seem to be one of those "survival of the fittest" kind of guys.

Well here's some food for thought. Whether you believe in God or you believe in evolution, the simple fact is that love is something that aids in survival in one way or another. Love brings couples together for the sake of companionship which aids in reproduction, giving us the means to make sure our species continues indefinitely.

Love is what keeps peace, bringing off conflict and perhaps saving lives at times.

However, some might say that love causes people to sacrifice themselves for others.

But you know what? They sacrifice themselves for others so that the ones they love can continue to survive for that much longer.

Pretty much this too, but love goes beyond the opposite gender.

Love is, like you said, a bond that develops over time, but this can be with family, friends, etc.

Because of this bond between people, love enables people to grow stronger, because truly, there is strength in numbers. This goes along with my previous point about "survival of the fittest", because strength is almost completely directly related to survival.

Love is an over-hyped French thing. :)

Love has got you fooled, raw power is what I thrive on. Power is the only power source.

Okay then.

But love amplifies that raw power.

So every normal human being will always be stronger than you.

I will obliterate you.

You also strike me as one of those crybabies that is afraid of relationships because he got hurt a couple of times.

I'm sure Woolys is kidding around, there's no need to criticize him for it. Also, I apologize for bringing this up, but weren't you stating that all women are vapid and shallow last week?
