TARDIS
(time and relative dimensions in space)

Right now, we do have a working Vehicle_TARDIS. But you can't actually go inside it. All you can do is jump into it to fly it when really all you get is a orbiting view of the TARDIS outside and flight

Features

What would be cool is a new TARDIS which is actually bigger on the inside. Upon entering the TARDIS, it teleports the player far away (far enough to not have any effects of the farlands) And spawn the TARDIS interior there. The TARDIS control panel works. Not sure how the controls should be, though. Possibly saving the TARDIS's position to a list and materializing there whenever you want.

Or just spawn the Tardis interior under the ground plane. That way no one would be able to get to it, unless they went inside the Tardis.

I hope this will get made.

Btw, what version of the Tardis are you asking to be made?

Fun fact: Since shadows & shaders, the "farlands" no longer exist. the ground continues onward solidly at the ice palace map

No, that's not what "farlands" refers to.

what do you even think farlands are

You're talking about the farlands before v21, where if you go too far you splash through the ground plane as if it was water and fall. That was the only effect. The farlands I'm talking about is in v21. You can continue forever, you will never splash through the ground plane. But as you get further and further away from the spawn, if you have shaders set to at least minimum, all of the polygons will forget up, the brick grid screws up, positions of the ghost brick is offsetted, the ground is pixelated, the sky shakes. and that is why I'm too scared to go far into the farlands else the skybox will shake enough to.. uh... hard to explain

The 10th Doctor's TARDIS and the 11th Doctor's most recent TARDIS

stuff

then eventually this happens
The engine simply quits rendering.

seriously how does that happen

maybe the tardis teleportation materialization can work like orbing?
or the findclientbyname("you").player.settransform("numbers"); kind of thing

The 10th Doctor's TARDIS and the 11th Doctor's most recent TARDIS
-snip-
Ah, ok.

Somewhat off topic. I'm working on a time travel build that's inspired by Doctor Who.
There is going to be at least four different times(atm anyway) you can go to. My time machine works something like how the Tardis works(bigger on the inside smaller on the outside). You will be able to go inside of the time machine, pick a time zone you want to go to(the medieval times for ex.), walk outside of the time machine and your there.
It's going to be fun to play once the whole build is done and ready for hosting.

That's just something I wanted to say since it's Doctor who related. We can get back on topic now.

What if the interior is made inside the model, though shrunk down, and when the player enters, they get shrunk.

Here's what I would do. I would use the static model from the Vehicle_TARDIS and use zonebricks with onplaytouch and the teleportation event to take you to a build of the TARDIS interior.

The interior is incredibly complicated and would be too difficult to model, plus it would literally be like 100,000 poly's.

Edit: Also, this is a building game. So I would suggest building it.

the interior is infinite

seriously, i'm not even joking

but yeah, just the core should be good.

I guess you could do it like the Gmod one, where the interior is separate, but I don't know if that can be done with a blockland vehicle.

Yay i can now be the docter :D
