I'm now enduring that feeling when your best friend gets his first car and he's wildly excited about it even though it's nothing special whatsoever.
After I helped him get his license test out of the way, his parents pulled a loan and he bought a 2010 Cobalt...4 doors....automatic....but wait it has power windows. Of course, he's now flooding every existing method of popular social media and my phone with pictures of his car. He bought an $800 set of Falkens for it and he's now prospectively looking for ways to mod the car. I'm just sitting back trying to be encouraging but he looks kinda silly.
Just the other day, he was begging me all day to ride with him in his car. Seeing as he's so excited and just got his car and has had his license for not even two weeks, I was skeptical but finally told him he could drive me across the street and back. I mean, it's a nice small fuel efficient car. Pretty comfortable too, but that's comparing to my extremely conservative no-extra-comfort-added police car. But during that short drive, I felt bad when he told me that he put the pedal to the floor and I didn't even notice.
