I could see the value in having one supercar per police force. For example, if I wanted to run from the police the only tool they'd have against me is a roadblock, my car is faster than any police car they would send after me. For tuners that are putting out crazy horsepower, having a vehicle that can rival them could be of utmost importance.

only crown vics, impalas, chargers, and a ford fusion
one mustang, if the transformers movie counts

Also that car is about as useless as the Police Camaro because it has no backseat to hold the badguy. Also that fiber glass frame would destroy the vehicle if they had to do a pit maneuver in a highspeed space chase.
