yah. Probably the biggest problem for me is going to be insurance. My mom doesnt want me to get my license until I'm 18, partially because of insurance. :/

Insurance rates don't go down between 16 and 21. On your 21st birthday they drop, but before that they stay the same.

I agree, it makes no sense.

I am pretty sure they'll change their mind. My parents said the same thing.

If i ever do save up enough for that drift car my first choice would be 1996 BMW E30, second a 240sx, third a sileighty, fourth another RX7 but a 1989
probably not, my brother just turned 18, and he still hasn't gotten his license. And honestly, I'm OK with not getting my license before then, so long as I can start driving with a permit before 18.

well hmph. :(

Edit: just saw this. Makes me wish I'd started saving sooner.

well even better, now that your parents see that insurance will stay pretty much the same, you can convince them to let you drive. Get your permit now saying that you wanna start learning how to drive so when they realize it makes no difference, then you already can get ready to drive.

BMW needs to make this.

Happened to me but now I'm not covered by insurance until I get a job. She allows me to move cars between parking lots and go small distances (almost like a chauffeur) but she doesn't let me go by myself to places. I'll be trouble if I'm caught lol

Isn't that the Nissan iDX? I agree, it looks like a BMW 2002 (my grandpa used to have one).

-snip-
i love the boxy simple design of old BMWs and i love the flashyness of the current BMWs, would die over this.

no, its like a modernified version of the BMW 325i E30.  Which is like my favorite older car.

If they did make something like that I would hope the white rims wouldn't be stock. Everything looks good apart from those

eh.

At the least, someone needs to make it into a body kit.

Edit: it is a body kit concept, and I think the company is actually planning on selling them. I think it's gonna cost like $4100 +$1100 with the lights. :(

Ah okay.  I was envisioning this:

That one you posted looks a lot nicer though.

stuff i know what my next project is going to be.

Acquired this the other day: 1996 525i E34 with inline-six etc

Some cosmetic fixes to be made and the interior is a bit odd smelling but it runs great and the engine components are clean and maintained.

uh oh.

the seller for the rx7 shell deleted the listing. I hope he's renewing it, otherwise i would be very sad that someone else got it. If my dad was in the country I would've bought it in a heartbeat.

found a 95 kawasaki 650 for $1300 on craigslist
