the owner of the e90 330i from last week didn't know anything about his car (not even approximately how many miles he's owned it for) and told me if i wanted to know the maintenance/service history i should buy a report using the vin. told him take his offer and shove it up his ass
i got sick of checking out hit-or-miss vehicles owned by clueless owners, so i narrowed my search criteria. today i ended up buying a recently listed e46 330ci; $6000, 110k miles, steel blue metallic, sport + premium + cold weather packages. the owner was a fairly wealthy perfectionist who highlighted all of the negatives before the positives. he had a fat stack of receipts and service records-- pretty much all maintenance that needs to be done on a 100k e46 has already been taken care of by either the most reputable bmw shop in west michigan or one of his sons who's a master mechanic specializing in jags and bmws. the rims have been sandblasted and powder coated, looks p freaking nice, i'll get pics tomorrow if i can remember lol. going to take time off of work monday morning to get the sucker legal
