cant wait for it to come out and suck balls but everyone will be all "that was amazing" to lie to themselves that they were hyped for a game for so long and because licking valve's balls is cool

There's a reason people call all of their games good.  When a lot of people like something, it's not always a bandwagon type of thing.

Because they don't actually continue it, they just put signs all around the place to point into it, but nothing never surfaces.

Saying that I'm overly pessimistic is a huge exaggeration. We've seen this stuff roll for half a decade. If they actually were working on the third installment they'd have a trailer for it already. It's either that they have nothing and keep using it to build hype for their announcements or the game is in development hell.

The voice actor for Dr.Breen is dead too, so that doesn't help very much.
