Where did you hear that?
He said: "I offered to pay eksi to do it, but I don't know if that's going to happen because he's kind of weird about it."

If you go a few pages back, badspot stated that he was going to pay eksi to make another trailer, but he declined.

  • I've got the "transfer your current BLID to steam" feature almost working,
Will our keys still work on non-steam installations if we transfer them?

  • I think I'm going to bail on the multiple users thing because valve games don't appear to handle this either.  Multiple users on on one PC will have to have separate steam installs to keep their add-ons separate.
Would be nice if we could at least get a segment of the options menu for toggling client add-ons, so other users wouldn't have to uninstall them if they didn't want them enabled.

I'm expecting a huge load of addons associated with the new steam commands to be released.

unlockAllAchievements();

Question: Would steam have any kind if performance affect, aside from a tiny fraction because it IS adding to the game? I'm hardly able to run BL with my 2006 MacBook as it is, and I don't have enough money for an upgrade yet. I'm getting there though, about 1/2 way to a MacBook Pro with 8GBs of ram

The changes are nominal in terms of performance. All it does is adds a second way to authenticate and adds a few functions for achievements (of which the checks for are probably insignificant in performance impact).

you should save up for a windows laptop instead if you want more game performance for the money

Gaming on a mac is like trying to snipe with a pistol. It makes you look like an idiot.
