So, the stream is definitely going to be on Friday or Saturday. I may do a test stream "tomorrow" (Thursday), sometime during the afternoon, so I'll post if I do do that. I'll probably just play something like... this Chinese bootleg Pokémon FireRed/LeafGreen NES ROM that I have for some reason, to test audio levels (since I'll be doing voice commentary) and video quality. I have it set to base resolution 1024x576 scaled down 1.25 so that my laptop can handle it better.
I also learned that I can apparently stream from camcorders through my computer? I had no idea I could do that, though I really doubt you would want to see that, especially since I don't have a tripod and the people coming in all the time and stuff... although I would really love to play
Bomberman Generation on stream.
I kinda want to post that "me playing through Japanese Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky" thing (that I'd have to redo since I accidentally savestated over my savestate I had for the post) in like a spoiler tag where you click the button and the box expands to show the whole spoilered part. But BLF doesn't have that. And I don't want to take up so much with a post I'm not sure you guys want to see, so I'll just find something I drew some years ago, so that there's something interesting to look at.
Aha! I did this with my two brothers so many years back... too bad I was such a bad drawer back then. I wish I could do one now, but I doubt it would be as fun as it was when we made this one. I'll just censor our last name. Or at least, where I think it's readable.
(clicky for full)

And here's just some random, possibly interesting stuff stuff. I promise, the next part of the 50th comic is coming soon.
I could probably just save this for the livestream so that I have some content, but who needs foresight?
- I just realized I don't have a lot of girl main characters. I drew a couple of covers for both sides of my comic binder, one boys and one girls, and the girls one was like really empty compared to the boys side. But I have more goddesses than gods...
- Sometimes I wonder if I should have like... non-gender binary characters or trans characters, until I realize that there is no point. For one, it is impossible to tell if someone's a girl or boy anyways (aside from maybe if I have one enter a public restroom?? Or something?); for two, I wouldn't be able to accurately portray such an issue anyways; and for three, when would this ever be brought up?? I always have weird thoughts that are kinda like this (like extremely religious characters, or maybe a conspiracy theorist or something, etc.) but I feel that such a thing would detract from the comic just by being so pointless, and the humor would probably just be "look how ridiculous this is". Not like my comics have a lot of humor anyway, but I usually try to be a little clever with it.
(speaking of which, did anyone get the joke in that one comic that was about grandparents and "where is my birthday money"? i don't know what page it's on...)
- A character a lot like Kumato was going to be the head of a polytheistic religion I was going to make to go with a language (that's basically just like ripoff Japanese) I was making in school. But I grew bored of the language so I never went ahead with developing the rest of the religion.
- In 8th grade I sketched out a few movesets for an UMvC3-style fighting game where I just had a bunch of my characters (I think I was going to invent a few for it, but now I could fill an entire fighting game with just my characters) and Kirby characters, because I thought they kinda fit. But I never went anywhere with the idea.
- One time I drew a comic entirely in Japanese and got my friends to try to see what was happening, because I made it have an actual plot.
- In 8th grade I was going to draw some comics called "Dr. Scribble". Dunno why, maybe it was that joke everyone knows about doctor's signatures being totally unreadable. I couldn't really make any funny jokes about the American healthcare system or anything like that since I knew nothing about it (and still don't), and I stopped working on it after a grand total of two 4-panel comics. And that's not the fastest I've scrapped a comic, either.
- I think I may have said this before, but originally this was going to be a silent comic, and the only text would be signs, electronics, etc. But that only lasted a page before I started adding text.
- Did I ever talk about "A Badly-Drawn Comic About Badly-Drawn Chibi Yoshis"? It was, well, exactly what the title said (though some would say it was not badly-drawn), and it started when I was in 7th grade. It came from about...3 pages worth of comics that I drew in 5th grade because I really liked this other thing I found called "Chiboshis". Which, surprise, was a comic about chibi Yoshis. The original forums it was on (YoshiArt forums. Geez, anybody remember YoshiArt?) are down, but I think a lot of them (or maybe all) are on his DeviantArt
here. (There's not an album, so it's just a search for Chiboshis.)
- Bonk started as one comic, then I split it into 3 different ones in 8th grade. I had Bonk School, which was, well, Bonk at school. It didn't borrow nearly as much from real life as "(Mostly) In High School" (my current comic set at school) did. It also wasn't a 4-panel comic like the one is now. The next one was Bonk 4-panel, which was, well... four-panel comics. The last was still just Bonk, although I first called it Bonk Long Story. Basically, this was just, well, extended storylines. Instead of four-panel gags, it was a lot of gags that all fit together. In 9th grade, I merged the 4-panel and Long Story series into just one, and it's just called "Bonk" again. It's mostly longer comics (though not more than one page) but there's some 4-panel stuff in there too.
- I also had another comic series called "Ninja!". It was just...generic ninjas, just doing dumb things. The only okay joke was where one pretends to be a tree by holding up their arms and saying "I am a tree", and seemingly fooling the other ninja.
- Last thing for now. I mentioned that Ace Attorney-like comic that I have, right? Originally, it was going to be that Plushy was the attorney (and, indeed, in earlier one-off comics she was the attorney). Then, I was going to have Nyuu be the attorney, first as a stand-in for another one but then becoming one herself, and now it's just Bonk as a regular ol' attorney. Except it's Ace Attorney. Attorney attorney attorney attorney.
(wow, this post is about as long as the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon thing...)
