Author Topic: Cucumberdude is using a script to keep a high playercount. (Read 10328 times)

He has a script running that keeps people online after they've left (I assume by messing with GameConnection::onClientDisconnect) or something) kinda like when someone crashes and their player stays in the server. It has now maxed out at 32 players and it the server is empty, with the title being "Derp". It's annoying to always have an empty server at the top of the list and he could easily take it down or make the max players a small number. Or even easier, disable the script.

When Kalphiter sent false data to the master server he was revoked. I don't why why the same isn't happening now.

Does tezuni use something similar?

On the master server, it says there are 25 players on his server, but when i join there are only 6 or so.

Other people use the same script, except they don't let it max out like that.

There was a line of code you could use to send a false playercount to the master server. I played around with it in V19 but I'm not sure if it still works.
If you do know it, don't post it. It will just mean a sudden influx of people with 9999/32 players.

I don't believe cucumberdude is doing this just to gain player-count. I've known him for a while and whenever he hosts its always just a blank server or him afk.

Maybe he's trying to figure out what's going on, so he can fix it, get on and save the build
