some random avatar options make disguising easier or harder

for instance if you spawn with a peg leg you can't get rid of the peg leg with the disguise kit

if someone is wearing gloves and you disguise as them you also put on gloves

etcetera

Care to explain why?
The revolver kills with one shot. Anything that kills with one shot is obviously way better than anything that kills with 2 shots. Especially in a game like this, you sneak up from behind, pang, dead. Or across the hallway. Or whatever. However with the pistol there's a chance of them reacting fast enough, and shooting back.

Also, after getting one hit from the pistol whoever you shot will usually crouch. While they're crouched, you can't get headshots! That means it'll take you alot of shots to actually kill them, giving them time to pull out a revolver and one hit kill you.

Ideas for map:

Modular Mansions: In this there are a few set of mansions that randomize themselves because they are big and confusing. Between 1-3 sets that rotate would make it so the game is always new and interesting. It would be a interior based game though.

Normal Mansion: A few mansion builds that don't randomize get loaded, the game gets more repetitive but you can go outside and there is more to be found there. 3-7 types would work well here.

Mansion Mix: both type of settings are used with the normal mansions being rotated every few modular. 5-8 is the amount in the ideal brew. This is the more ideal thing to do.



 Ideally it would be a mansion since its a dinner party and I can really not think of a single other place you would have one but the 50th floor of a hotel/host's private resort.

how about a giant-ass helicoptor so the final fight happens on the rotors

i fixed that actually

Bushi, if you could show me some good examples of murder mystery maps, I could build one.

The game should also have something to keep players from just WAITING ON THE TOP ROOM/DECK/ROOF/WHATEVER. I was thinking maybe something like every map has a power system, but not all the rooms can be powered at the same time, so some are left dark. Then every few minutes the rooms powered switched randomly, so some powered will turn off and vice versa. Thus this will make players move around rooms and stuff. Also you should be able to power down rooms yourself, of course there would be a cool down from the time a room powers back on again to when you can power down again.

This seems like a pretty good idea.  I'd join the server myself.  However, I can see problems with gameplay coming up, like little things that will become recurring problems that no one can see yet.

  • Random avatars, random items and placing suitcases on spawn done
  • Core gameplay logic done
  • Special items done so far:
    • Lighter (no model, everything works but holding down to autoclick)
    • Papers (no model, everything works)
    • Stealth Pistol (item itself works, actually can't fire for some reason)
    • Suitcase (no model, everything works)
    • Suitcase Key (no custom model (using default Key model), everything works)
