This is one thing I have to ask, I don't exactly want to start some kind of war, and I have no hatred or anything towards furries or anything...

But why is almost half of the community gay? I may just be an ignorant forget on this, so don't mind me. I might just be looking at the wrong people here.

The furry community is filled with gays for many reasons. The reason i see most fit though is that everyone in the fandom accepting of each other. The wide range of loveualities and personalities all really mix together. It is one of those fandoms that is just really accepting no matter who you are.

While a bit childish at times, it's definitely one of those communities that made me feel welcome.

So essentially, very accepting community and a great way to express stuff. This is a kinda childish answer, and a bit of a dumb one considering i'm extremely tired and such from a whole day of marching and meds. So i hope i answered your question.

In all seriousness, homoloveuality is a mostly genetic thing, however it can also be a choice. In some cases, the way a child is raised DOES effect their loveuality. However. Regardless of whether it's genetic or a choice, what a homoloveual does and does not do, should not be a political matter of any kind, at all.

Well, i came earlier this year. I wanted to come out sooner, but i thought it'd be weird if i did it whilst single. :/

I can't even remember how or why I came out to anyone here to begin with, but I'm sure I had no issue with it, because the people I hung out here were furries so. I don't really need to expand on that

but nobody in person knows. there's no reason for them to know anyway. it would just make my mom feel like she has something else to talk to me about and god knows I don't want that

i'll admit i stopped reading once i got to the bolded part. even in a non-legal context, asking for that right isn't "stupid". imagine if you said "black people can't get married, but they can be afforded the same rights as a married person." that would imply that black people don't deserve to marry because they're black, as if there were some moral issue, when in fact there shouldn't be one.

Infact, America Was founded under dethiests and atheists. America became very Pro religious back in the 60's and 40's In WW2 and the cold war. Thinking it was the end of the world, Because Atomic Bombs and horrid weapons of mass destruction.

Also if you're too lazy to educate yourself about an issue you shouldn't be arguing about it.

If genetics were responsible for the loveual orientation of a person; everyone would either be (good majority of) heteroloveuals and (very few) biloveuals. Natural selection would be in favor of those who were able to pass on the loveual orientation gene.
However it doesn't work like that. Homoloveuality and Biloveuality has been around since the dawn of mankind and even animals.

One theory I've seen to explain this is that homoloveuality may be a recessive trait, while people with homozygous alleles have some sort of benefit to heteroloveual individuals.
Similar to Sickle cell anemia: You have the disease if you have both recessive versions of the allele, but having homozygous alleles provides some resistance against malaria without the presence of the disease

Also, there's no reason why homos and bis can't have kids, the parts still work, and there are plenty of people who have forced themselves to
