Author Topic: Someone should remake the old Kill Brick event.  (Read 1643 times)

Is there even a reason Badspot removed it? It was pretty useful for a lot of things.
I remember someone remade it but it didn't work.

For those who don't know what the Kill Brick event did; It just destroy's the brick as if it was hammered.

We could also do with some kind of placeBrick event, perhaps you could select the brick by clicking a button and it opens the GUI, and you just select a direction, or something.

He said it circumvented the trust system
I made one a long time ago with the help of Amade that fixed it but it was still crap-on'd

I need the event to make trees that you can chop down for supplies but don't come back.
And I can't use fakekill because i want for players to be able to build where that tree last was.

registeroutputevent(fxdtsbrick,killbrick);

???

It'd be acceptable if people kept it private instead of releasing it, right?
Like passing it to people that need it without public distribution?

Just use KillBrick

Just use KillBrick

you are not smart

he's asking for someone to make a killBrick event since killBrick was removed a while ago

willCauseChainKill?
and GetTrustLevel?

and GetTrustLevel?

I wouldn't bother with getTrustLevel, if someone adds killBrick to their own brick, and they dont want theyre brick killed, then its their own fault. Also it would mess up if you want anyone to kill the brick, say in a City RPG where you purchase a lot, and you want the baseplate to be deleted.
Also, add a checkbox or a list for enabling chain killing. Sometimes i'd want it.

woops stuff i thought he was talking about the fakekill brick or something what the hell

I still cannot get over why people want this.

It's extremely abusable, can only be activated once with potentially catastrophic results, and overall useless.

maybe a fakekillsupportedbricks

fakekills the target and all supported bricks?
