Finally those fat borders on the iPad are gone

What would Steve Jobs say? :'(

Finally those fat borders on the iPad are gone
They do this just to make the already-cheaply-made tablet PC appear like it's screen is larger than it actually is.

And who would need 'retina display'? Apple is just making a simple technology seem like some space-age cutting-edge feature, while all you need to do to get a retina display is crank up the resolution.

Bottom line: An iPad is not going to be as good as you think it is.
Stick to the unbiased reviewers like AnandTech and Tom's hardware, and focus on the actual hardware, not some biased Apple propaganda.

Oh boy two more ipads! They didn't even give the last one a whole year, Poor thing.

...

what is retina display?

...

what is retina display?

it's the same display as iPad 4 and iPad 3, it's high-resolution

lol "retina display"

apple makes up terms for everything that already had simple computer terminology. and already existed and wasnt very new or impressive to begin with. but take credit like they created it.

there are so many stupid apple boys who dont know what a simple router is because they use an airport...

Oh boy, more reselling of old hardware with minor modifications, emphasized to make it seem like the next best advancement in technology ever.

no apple hate and argumentations pls, peace.
You kind of had it coming in making this topic in the first place.

I've bought the iPad 1, iPad 2, The New iPad and the iPad 4. Not quite sure if I'm going to upgrade this time. Seems kind of pointless.

what is retina display?
A stupid term to describe a screen that has more pixels than you can see.*

*Does not apply if you get close to the screen.

I bet less than half of the people complaining about retina have actually seen it in person. Going from standard screens to retina is a huge and noticeable difference. Youre doubling pixel density while keeping the same screen size, giving everything an extremely clean and sharp look. I hardly ever see any square pixels unless I'm zooming in on pictures. Text scales as well, so you never see any aliased text.

Oh my god that looks awesome

Even tho I still have an iPad 1st gen :(

I have loving ipad 1
