Author Topic: praying before you eat  (Read 25876 times)

no i just eat

however usually during dinner my family prays cause they're religious i just close my eyes and listen (I'm not religious, it's a silly concept imo)

I start eating before the rest of my family even sits down sometimes so yeah.

Don't exactly see meals as some kind of ritual. ._.

Except there is no such thing as a good person.
I didn't say perfect, you don't have to be flawless to be a good person
Well that's cool and all if you think that's the best answer, but that's not exactly what the Bible says. So if a Christian is saying that, it's because he's ignorant of his own beliefs
doesn't the bible say a lotta stuff that doesn't apply anymore? besides that, what men wrote on paper doesn't necessarily reflect how your God really feels

I'm an earthly satanist, and even then I don't "pray" or anything
No god got this food for me, my parents did, and eventually when I'm on my own, I will do the same

Wait your an actual Satinist

I eat for survival so I don't make a ritual out of it.

I pray before I eat because I'm Christian

I pray to the Mexican prophet who picked the food
Jesús

i have do it when im at my friend's house but not at my own house

To me it is
And to me, Christians are the spawn of all evil, and thus you need to be burnt at the stake because of your blasphemous ideals and heinous crimes against humanity over the entirety of human existance
Okay. You're entitled to not like my religion. Doesn't mean either of us is more or less right.

Could you explain Satanism to me please?

Could you explain Satanism to me please?
I believe in a specific kind of satanism, as many Christians may be catholic, roman catholic, non-denominational, baptist, etc. I cannot speak on behalf of Satanism, however I can on Earthly Satanism. Earthly Satanism, summed up and put into three, major basic rules (even though there are around 25) is:
1. There is no magic. If magic occurs, you must believe in it fully and completely, otherwise said magic will undo itself and you will live the remainder of your life without benefit ever again (basically the equivalent of you being blessed and some disease 'magically' being removed.)
2. Do not harm unless provoked or harmed in the first place.
3. Respect others as much, if not more, than you respect yourself.

Earthly Satanism is, overall and for all intensive purposes, focused on appreciating life, yourself (body, mentality and social health) and others. In fact, one of the minor (but just as important) laws says to not engage in any loveual behavior without consent. Aka do not rape. which the bible does not once ever mention

Satanism of any kind is not considered a religion, because the 58%~ global christian population would just lose their stuff and make as many anti-religious laws as possible, contradicting themselves. Kinda like how all the anti-gay rights activists tend to be heavily religious

Prayer is a sign of weakness
Eat while they have their eyes closed
