For a Colour Scheme, I've seen alot of modern houses with Grey or white walls.

The Carpet color could be Grey or white as well. If your going to use a hard floor, it'll look more beautiful.

For Modern Lighting, get a bright light-bulb and it'll shine stuff up.

For a curtain, I really dont know.

Does glow in the dark wall paint exist?

Well in my head I'd love to go with a completely white room with heaps of chrome finished features. The only part I wouldn't want to be white would be the block wall which would be a feature wall. I was going to go with this but I'm not sure

I wouldn't, but I MAY put an overcoat of a special paint that turns walls into giant whiteboards.

1. Take everything in the room
2. Make it into a fort
3. Live in your fort, knowing the ghosts can never get you

I'f you go with any dark-grey/whatever wall colours you could get the blackboard paint aswell, that stuffs pretty cool.

I like the look of this one, the red'y colour there is pretty much the terracotta one i wanted to use as the feature wall colour.

I liked that one the most too. Instead use the Terracotta for the stuff it uses in the image.

For a modern look/color scheme I would suggest hardwood floors. Try to pick out a dark shade of wood that goes along with the wall colors. (Light shades of wood will not look well with dark grey, just a warning)

For the windows grey-ish curtains would also look nice.

I want something like a mancave. Everything in one place.

Wooden blinds would look good on windows.

Not so sure blinds would fit the modern look, unless they were expensive blinds.

actual hardwood floors are EXTREMELY expensive. I'd be buying floating floor with a hardwood finish

That's essentially what this will be. Outside there will be a cool seating area with a barbie so i can cook up some shrimp m8

Yeah, that'd be the only setback. You could also go for tile?

it's tempting. it gets super hot here in aust for summer.

if i go with tiles it'll be great to keep it cool, but it might be too cold for my girlfriend in winter so i have to run that by her

i have to consider cost though. the floating floor i'm willing to go up to $25 a square metre, because i can install it myself. If I go with tiles it'll be at least $40 a square metre
