i'll probably go with something like this

Yah, that looks good. So that plus a light wood floor. I don't know, dark wood + modern styling never has really looked good IMO. Ok, there may have been one or two instances...

nah i definitely agree

the only thing casting doubt in my mind is the terracotta feature wall. i'm not sure if a light oak floor will be too light for that or not. gotta do some photoshopping today i think

Hm.. White floorboards + light tan floor + terracota feature wall, I'd think it would look alright. However, make sure the terracota looks good with the brick wall, that's the one thing I'd be worried about.

You could leave the brick wall as it is, paint the opposite wall terracotta, and the others with a warm gray. White doors/shelves/windows should look good anywhere.

^^is that the stuffty house modeling program or whatever for macs that people use to think was cool

Are you talking about Google Sketchup? Cause if so, it's not just for Macs and it's not bad.

very rough mockup of the feature wall. obviously i have no idea how the terracotta will come out but interesting anyway

Speaking of room renovation. This is how I want to redo my room this thanksgiving break. It would be pretty sweet. The one room is a bathroom and that's a closet with some shelves.

You should add a touch of vintage. Maybe an art deco fan or clock somewhere. I can help you find that :). One that is, you know, very "Future like" from the 40s or 50s. That style.

Also add a Jerry Mouse hole in that crown molding. I will do this someday at my house.

I was just saying :c I thought maybe looking at what other people are doing would help.

I don't know if it'll go with your style but putting in crown molding with led strips would be pretty sweet.

stocking said the same thing lol

also, general question to anyone. with feature walls, are you meant to paint the cornice the same colour as the wall or do i have that as the white like the rest of the room?

You. Here is a GE Vortelex fan. They are common. And they produce about 5 times more air.
