Author Topic: So is anyone getting Ghosts?  (Read 14980 times)

i would bet money you wouldn't.
pretty sure not everybody has the memory of a goldfish like you and can recall when the mc is being slung over by an ally and carried to a foreign guy or whatever who runs over and helps pick you up so you continue walking to a vehicle and then the credits roll

it isn't the most memorable cod ending for nothing

who said that they think single player is what sells the game?

its implied by all of you because its the subject matter you are debating.
the single player campaign could have been 6 hours of a soldier cleaning stuff off a wall, and the games would sell just as well. because no one gives a forget about campaigns, these shooters were made for multiplayer.

Do you know that this isn't the ending for Ghosts? (also I'm pretty calm right now, I'm just trying to stress how insignificant this whole 18 seconds is)No you wouldn't have.  Being helped up is such a cliche I'm not surprised this animation hasn't been used more.
Guaranteeing I would. Modern Warfare 2 was one of my favorite games and I played through it a ton.
Well clearly the guy who made the video noticed too lol

Its the only thing Im debating right now because it was the subject at hand and IGN just posted a facebook post about it so...

yes, i am aware, and i think my point still stands

unrelated to this, i really dislike the whole gray and brown look of modern shooters these days, especially ones which are supposed to be set in urban areas because there's so much color everywhere, bright colors, powerful colors, and not just boring and drab ones.

I agree.

I think modern warfare 3 was too dark. Looks like its better in ghosts

to me, it sounds really really cliche.  Of course with over a million eyes someone is bound to notice, but really, this is 18 seconds of a single animation that was even cut up a little.  I don't see how this is the measure of quality, not how a lot of stuff was simply taken out of the game in order to ship right away.

this just in, turns out in a mission of ghosts they reuse an animation of entering a car from the original mw

sales are dramatically plummeting all over the world

the fact that the latter statement will never happen they should put as much effort into their games as possible

dude getting in that car was ICONIC.  I REMEMBER.

No, it's already in a decline.  A generation jump killed Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, Guitar Hero, and now it looks like the same exact thing is happening to CoD.  It's pretty much an inevitability.

holy stuff i didn't realize that

and the fact that guitar hero and tony hawk games themselves aren't even on the market anymore

then again... i dunno, i feel like FPS has a lot more lastability

man they really dumbed down a lot of the stores

that's a shame
i cant tell if thats sarcasm

the colors were so sterile and dull, the warmth of terminal made it look so much more appealing

FPS games in general will definitely be around for a lot longer, CoD managed to come from Medal of Honor, and it's starting to look like Titanfall will be the same sort of thing.

Just don't let Neversoft touch any more FPS games.  :cookieMonster:
