I know you can be in love, but I honestly think in middle school, most people date just to say they are. Of course there ARE real relationships. I'm also saying in a traditional date, the boyfriend or girlfriend drives themselves to a restaurant, in middle school you can't drive. It's not like a high school date.

In fact, to prove my point further, I had a "girlfriend" back in like 7th grade and it only lasted 6 months. It felt awkward and it seemed like it wasn't genuine at all. I mean, we're still friends but she ended the relationship by saying she wasn't ready for dating.
