Author Topic: Music Megathread  (Read 224112 times)

First "real" song I made in FL Studio after a lot of practice. Took about 9 hours to make. Tell me what you guys think.

The drops are the best part.

This sounds awesome man, good work. I love it when I see someone here putting a lot of effort into a larger project. will have to revisit this a couple times to soak it all in. edit: yea man this is A+ material all the way through. some great, intense guitar parts as well as more laid back synth sections, and it all works together so cohesively. I love this

does anyone know any good free fl studio synth plugins

does anyone know any good free fl studio synth plugins

DSK has some really nice instruments, sforzando is good with sf2 playback if you need it
and i used bitkits, the nes vst, retro boy, and tb_peach to make this, which are all excellent chiptune-sounding plugins

tried my hand at remaking Still Alive as a sort of tribute
not 100% accurate but i like it all the same, and its about time i started making music from scratch again

Small bit of original work
this is really great. I love the space you give the guitar in the intro section, it really pulled me in and made me feel dread. and the synth which enters in the last half is very nice too, it added some nice color.

Thank ye! The order is non-linear, I think by the time I implement this into a song it'll a different context for both sections. Just wanted to put something original up on my channel. Appreciate the kind words.

Ethereal
Nice. A few things - your background synth is getting limited really hard and it sounds not great.
The early drums don't make a lot of sense - they don't really fit with the synth and it's too long before any actual drum patterns to be justifiable as an intro.
The tonality is solid.

Here's an improv jazz piano track I did for a game project I was on: https://soundcloud.com/katadeus/hansom-cab-blues
I have an issue where I can never do better than my first take and so for this I just embraced it and prepared myself to play along with a backtrack and then recorded all the piano at once. There are a few mistakes.
