The closest to this happening is mounting a bot to the player's left hand and model every node. Which is still a bad way to do it because you can't spawn the correct weapon as a drop.

It's a perfectly acceptable solution - I think people won't gve a stuff if it looks like crap as an item as long as it works the other way.

Besides, if you give it to them via script, they'll never see the item unless they drop it or something equally stupid.

It has come to mind that there is indeed a limitation to altering the system. I am thinking of locking this topic because Marble is a good bit correct. Something like this could surpass the limitations of the engine, and I wish not to question it. I'll keep this unlocked for now.

- Datablock's is a main problem, as too many of them could also cause major lag.

Using bots as gun models would work perfectly for what you want. We're at the "find someone and make them tie the loose ends together" part now. This always takes the longest.

Is it possible to make bullet's shoot out of a particular place when you are holding a mounted bot?
Kinda like having a firing position at the end of the gun, or would that have to be set up at the same place?

Kinda thought of this because I wouldn't want a gun firing inside the arm, or a gun firing 10 feet away from it's self.

Should have a slow reload time, a nosel that comes out of your buttox, a fog'ish emitter that comes out, and fires the opposite direction. Needs to fire green smoke. Should kill in 3 hits, and blind people.

this would be cool. but even if it is possible, you would have a hard time getting any of the good coders to make it
