Author Topic: Dot dot, again...  (Read 6257 times)

So that means DotDot was lurking during the times he was "gone"?

It is Jared Clemens, aka dotdotcircle.  The IP used in the attack has logged into his forum accounts as recently as today.

When you're talking about IP overlap and such, you have to consider the size of the user base.  Blockland has ~7700 active users.  This isn't some giant ocean of piss you can hide in like 4chan.  This is a puddle of piss.   The chances that two people live in the same town and have the same hobby of attacking servers via spoofed network traffic is basically zero.

Jared has been "leaving Blockland forever" since 2010.  He last "left" about 6 months ago, but then just a few weeks ago he turned up to run apologetics for the Blockland cheat dll.  And now he's flooding servers again.

He has never left.  He's probably stuck in some sort of mental loop and will need therapy to actually free himself.
holy stuff

you win the thread

That's pretty much what I was getting at too.. just because the two locations are similar doesn't mean they're both him. Next time you break out the sarcasm font, try actually brown townyzing what the person said before making an ass out of yourself.
Baddy beat me to the point.

Baddy beat me to the point.
No he didn't, wtf?

You were saying that IP tracking is inaccurate so it's still very possible that despite the two IPs being located at two different parts of the same town it's still possible they originate from the same point. Basically, you were saying IP tracking is too inaccurate to call them different people.

Badspot, however, was saying that the IP tracking is accurate enough to determine that they're in the same city, which makes it almost guaranteed that they're the same person.

I didn't say it was so far off... I was saying it was far off enough for you to think they were different people.
