Though I probably lack credibility, I'm with Lugnut on this one. They share the 50.46.* block, that's not really much. Also, location of the IP in the OP points to an area on the opposite side of Seattle from where DDC and his parents live. At least the first one is in the general vicinity of where he'd actually be in theory.

The only evidence I have of a connection to Dotdot is locational; it's therefore not appropriate to associate him with "Faakey".

This will probably be one of the hardest investigations I'll do. The majority of my investigations (by investigating IPs from the public server list over the last 2 years) relies on finding careless mistakes of people hiding their connections with alternate accounts. One of the careless mistakes is switching the key of an active server (when people run their client from the same folder as the server and change keys) and the sudden name change shows up in server list logs.

It is Jared Clemens, aka dotdotcircle.  The IP used in the attack has logged into his forum accounts as recently as today. 

When you're talking about IP overlap and such, you have to consider the size of the user base.  Blockland has ~7700 active users.  This isn't some giant ocean of piss you can hide in like 4chan.  This is a puddle of piss.   The chances that two people live in the same town and have the same hobby of attacking servers via spoofed network traffic is basically zero. 

Jared has been "leaving Blockland forever" since 2010.  He last "left" about 6 months ago, but then just a few weeks ago he turned up to run apologetics for the Blockland cheat dll.  And now he's flooding servers again. 

He has never left.  He's probably stuck in some sort of mental loop and will need therapy to actually free himself.
