If Family Guy can go any further down hill they're going to need shovels, watching a new episode makes me cringe way more than laugh.

This. It's definitely not as good as it used to be, and that imagine from 1999 is when it sucked the most. The show was extremely dry and boring at that time. The characters were probably a bit more deep I suppose but that's about it. The show's definitely a lot funnier than most of the stuff on television now, not the best but like Dren said, watchable.

It's not watchable to anyone with a brain or a sense of humour. The only people who like it now are the little kids who saw their older siblings watch it so now they think they look cool for watching it.

There is FAR worse out there.
You make it sound like this is loving Jersey shore or meet the Kardashians. Hell, I'd say it's automatically better than half of reality shows.

Ok I'll have to agree with you on that. However family guy is grossly overrated and painfully unfunny.

I don't dislike Family Guy because it's mainstream, I dislike it because it's painfully unfunny and a major cringefest.
