Looking at the last 15 released champions in order of release:
Diana: Was never OP, was actually buffed after release I believe.
Rengar: Broken OP, was nerfed.
Syndra: Was never OP, as far as I can remember, was never nerfed or buffed beyond tiny numbers. Just a lot of mechanic fixes.
Kha'Zix: Secretly OP, was considered underpowered around his release, but a new tactic was discovered which made him seem OP and then was reworked.
Elise: Not OP. Don't remember if there were any buffs or nerfs.
Zed: Was never OP. Don't remember if there were any buffs or nerfs.
Nami: Underpowered. I think she got buffed?
Vi: Not OP.
Thresh: Not OP however, has a really good support skill set. Almost as good as Janna's.
Quinn: Was never OP. In fact, may be considered underpowered.
Zac: Seems to only be strong early in the match while in the jungle. Only because of his long range jump. Any good player will know not to ward the usual spots when there's an enemy Zac.
Lissandra: Not OP.
Aatrox: May seem strong to unskilled players. But any debuff or CC can screw him over.
Lucian: Hilariously underpowered.
Jinx: Was slightly OP on release, was nerfed a little.
I think you need to go and get better information. Almost half of those were/are used constantly in highly competetive play. I don't understand why you say lucian in "hilariously underpowered." That is why he is constantly used in higher elos right?

Words on a computer screen

ha

I just meant that his username is Machinima and he's asking a trivial question

yeah, lucian is actually pretty strong now. when he first game out i thought he was trash but he's pretty good right now

Everybody thought he was trash when he came out but he was somehow secret hidden op. His ult is still garbage though imo

I played LoL for a couple of days (and I didn't lose all of my games, mind you) and I really don't see the appeal. I'm interested in board/card games, but everything else in the strategy genre is just meh.

Lucian was really underpowered on release
but then season 4 came and he got buffed so now hes actually the strongest adc

Either way, my point still stands that he wasn't how Harm94 described him. "Overpowered on release then nerfed"

Used constantly in highly competitive play doesn't mean overpowered. It just means a lot of good players are good with the champ. I've seen LeBlanc in highly competitive play and she's also underpowered.

Yeah I could see LOL spawning from the RTS genre. Maybe if the community wasn't stuff I would play it. Also there are really good strategy games out there yet everyone just plays lol nowadays Kinda pisses me off.

LoL isn't even a strategy game.

LoL isn't even a strategy game.

It just has a small bit of strategy.

LoL is mainly a cooperative game, where everybody has to work together or they fall apart.

oh.

eh, really, i could play adc and just push all game without listening to my teamates at all and still win.

It just uses an RTS control scheme which is just clicking everywhere and hitting hotkeys.

Maybe in pre 30s.

Every game's community is stuff. Get used to it or play single player games for the rest of your life.

No strategy in those split pushes, ganks, ward placement, builds, rushes, securing objectives, baiting, making teamfight plays, or anything like that right?

Every game has some degree of strategy to it, but I wouldn't put it the Strategy game. But true strategy games are games like Hearts of Iron, Command and Conquer, Civilization, Wargame, Total Annihilation, Supreme Commander, Planetary Annihilation.
