I don't understand why I can't get the PS4

First of all, I am 13. Where in the bloody goddamn hell am I going to get, and save up, 400 dollars. In the last 4 years I didn't even touch 400 dollars man when I saved up. The highest I got was 100 dollars.

Ok, I'm 14, and over the summer and now, I've saved up and built myself a $410 computer, just saying. And I didn't have a good job, I was payed by my neighbors to watch their kids over the summer, making $5/h (yes, I know that's below the minimum wage, but a) they're our neighbors and our friends and they're really nice) and b) I'm only 14, so minimum wage doesn't really apply to me.).

I don't have a job, second of all. Oh, and I like to keep my savings account not touched because it is for college. All I can do is take out 200 dollars and pay half so they can pay for my PS4. It's not like the 3DS XL doesn't cost 200 dollars either and my brother has the 3DS!!!

I had 4 times the amount to purchase a PS4 when I was 13, and my family is in no way rich, if even high middle-class.
If you want things in life, you wont be able to call on your parents to pay on it for you. You save money to utilize it for something in the future. You obviously really want the PS4, so use how ever much money you're willing to spend on it and kindly ask your parents to pay the rest.

It's not like video games are essential to your health or anything. Get a grip; it's just a gaming console, lol. Can you make any money off of it? Not unless you're a professional, which hardly anyone is.

This is just something for you to do in your free time; it's not essential, and it can wait a little longer, lol.

Christmas nowadays is just people yelling at their elders to buy them stuff that they don't really need. Hardly have I seen a kid ask for something like a series of novels or a camera for photography.

okay now carefully examine what you want. the PS4
now what games are for it? are any of those games you want already on the
1. computer (if yours is good)
2. ps3
3. any other console you have
if so, you don't need a ps4. it's not going to make you cool. also, the ps4 is just a SLIGHT upgrade from the ps3. if there are going to be more good games that are ps4-only, then sure you can get it if you really feel that you should get that one game. if it's for a computer, and you hate computer gaming, then just buy a controller that can plug into your computer. its a good chance that game will support controllers on the computer, and if not, you can force it to support using some programs.

yeah like VERY slightly. your eyes really wont care. just get a good computer build and you can make computer games look so much better than consoles, and you would be CLOSER to the screen!

Yes but I don't have an allowance, I don't have a job netherless, and I barely get anything in a form of money other than 20 dollar gift cards for christmas (from family) and my bday (from friends). So no, I don't get $5/h for looking after kids because I don't look after kids. I am 13 and anyway I can only get a job when I am 14.

But you don't get the logic here, the PS4 is a totally different system with different graphics/different cpu/different software/ etc. The 3DS XL is just a larger version of something he already has, or I am just missing something here?

A note on books: I read a stuff load of books. I am a bookworm, and that means I am not stupid when it comes to getting books. It is called a library, a place where you can rent out books for free! Oh, and did you know that most people like reading a book one time and you know, not reading it again? The library. Not bookstores.

Also I have no interest in taking photographs because I don't want to, really. (well maibe)

This is a topic about consoles and how I am set to getting the PS4. I sure well damn would build my own computer but do you think that I can get 600 dollars to build a decent computer? I don't have a decent computer btw.

The graphics comparisons to the PS4 and the PS3 are actually pretty neat. Everything is smoother too. ALSO, I would like some indie games to play as well, because you know, Sony lets indie devs put their games on the PSN store.
