Author Topic: The Medieval Mod  (Read 41896 times)

Alright, stop badgering me to see how this mod is working.

It's my mod and I'll reveal it as I see fit.

Well, don't hassle him too much, rky.  Leaders need inspiration, they need to feel appreciated.  Nothing makes a leader feel more appreciated than to see a "follower" taking the initiative to finish something.  Often, it motivates a leader to become better than he is.  And remember, a leader is also responsible for training / motivating the next set of leaders.  I managed a movie theatre for a couple of years, so I have a bit of experience here.

Bushido, you're an idiot.  It's a team project.  Don't be an asshat.

Trader, I don't like the fact that you're telling me how to lead my mod.

Like I said, it's my mod and I'll do things how I see fit. If I want to do something done my way, than I'll get it done my way. Calling a 12 year old an idiot when he's doing a fine job of coordinating a mod only because he says "I'll do it myself" is like saying "Don't ever become independent, always listen to the next guy's advice to the letter and be totally dependent on the public."

Trader, I get what you're trying to say, I'm just saying "Stop".

Lead by doing, Bushido.  Get content ready yourself and make a video of it.  Eventually, other people will get the idea and work to submit content to you.
You aren't doing much except criticizing, Trader. Gerroff the thread or help.

Bushido, Trader's right, really.

This is a team mod and I've seen you just keep saying "It's my mod".

Trader, I don't like the fact that you're telling me how to lead my mod.
He Does Same To Me, It Is Ghey.

Look. I'm saying that this is being coordinated by me. So in a way, it's my mod. Personal, no. But I'm leading the project. I get that it's a team mod. Just I want HIM to get that he's not in any way associated with it and shouldn't be telling us off as if he were.

Now, skip the subject. I'm getting a pre-alpha version of helmets and armors up soon, on my server! HUZZAH!

Bushido:

At this point, I recommend that everyone quit.  What's the point of declaring a team project to be your project.  This all began as a joke from Ephi, and everyone jumped on board because they thought it'd be fun to pull this off as a team.  Who told you (jokingly) to take charge, eh?  You had no problem listening to me then.  I'm not telling you how to run "your mod", Bushido.  I'm telling you to not be an asshat when it comes to making decisions for what obviously started as a group effort.  If you're unwilling to realize what this was and what you've turned it into, you're a fool.

Lego:

Helping you to realize that you're an idiot is the most assistance I can provide.

Anyone that might have been interested in contributing:

Abandon ship.  This bitch is going down.  I can say from experience that there are much more pleasant ways to develop a group project.  If Bushido wants this to be "his mod", let it be "his mod".  He can finish it by his damn self.

Bushido:

At this point, I recommend that everyone quit.

Don't Dictate Other People's Mods, It Is For Diks.  Bushi Can Handle This On His Own.

Trader, stop being a troll, and drop the subject. I don't like the fact you just now started to attempt and destroy this mod, even though a week ago you were all pumped up about this being a good mod. Just drop the subject.

Haha, I give you honest criticism and you call me a troll.  People have this weird idea that, just because what they hear is negative, it means they should lash out.  Bushido, I was in favor of this project when I felt that it was a team effort.  Every team needs an organizer;  No team needs a douche bag.  Now, you can continue to be an idiot and ignore the useful comments and suggestions for improvement that I've made, or you can get off your high horse and make people want to get this thing done.

@ Trigun:

The only criticism I ever gave you was to stop naming teams and mods and projects after yourself.  Team Trigun or Team TriDev or Project TriDev...it's all lame self love.  Come up with something original.

I'm lashing out because you're apparently attempting to tarnish my reputation by pointing out every possible problem, and not saying any way to remedy the situation.

Lul, Then You Banned Me Before I Could Post The Link To This: On Your Server.  It It Meant As Joke Pic :D
Seriously, If You Want Name Criticism, Jedi vs Sith Has Nothing To Do With Doors And Portals.

@ Trigun

JVS used to stand for that.  Now I just use it as a moniker to represent mods I released that work together as part of a system.  JVS is no longer an abbreviation.  Anyway, back to the point of this topic:  The Medieval Mod.

@ Bushido

1.  Cease calling it your mod.  No one gives a crap who the team leader is.  The only important factor is the release of a quality product.

2.  People on your team need updates and directives frequently, whether you think they do or not.  Keeping people up to speed shows that you care about their involvement.

3.  Don't host public servers.  If what you have isn't good enough for a video, it's not good enough for a public server either.

I've got more if you need em.

Ephilates RPG has to say different.

Just freaking drop the subject. If anything, this'll end up a flame war.
