The problem I'm having with Voting is those are two different menu's. In this case the first one looks better because the second one looks filled to the brink. Honestly it'd be a lot better if you compared same menu's with the two themes. Kinda feels that its rigged for the custom to beat the default. Of course I don't believe that was the intention, it is just how I feel on a personal level.
It's the best I can do, that's not my field of expertise :x
Vaux developed the 2nd option per suggestion with now real intent to use it. I believe the reason he wanted this poll was to see how badly people would want the new GUI design
In the end it's more about color scheme, how complex it all is, etc.

I'd say the second one just because GUI editors can make good styles unified.

Before I close the poll I just want to clarify that these are different styles that Vaux is considering across all panels

GUI editors.. Make good styles... Unified.

What
Run that by me again

Those two GUI aren't of the same thing, one is for Real Estate and the other is for diplomacy. Very vague.
I like the GUI that's different from the game's default look, do something unique y'know?
Some people might think otherwise and say that it should conform with the game's art-style of blue bubbly buttons and windows with low-poly everything. I wish you could mod the piss out of it like it was Gmod / Second Life, have you seen the mods for those games?? There's a MASSIVE Star Wars Coruscant city world for Second Life, and there's some great content for Gmod, but with Blockland you can't really pull out a level editor or have each brick have it's own texture.

First one is cleaner and more professional looking.

Is it a coincidence that both GUIs have 12 votes?

It's been one of the closest polls we've actually had. Kinda surprised by that.

I don't have a full news update yet on the map because I'm easily distracted but you guys are in for some progress shots.
*hint* it's a small section of the map, but because of the server's scale it could be an entire City RPG server

I have a suggestion.
In order for the government to pay for services, there should be taxes. Over time, players have to pay a lot/house tax. If the player does not pay the lot/house tax off, the player loses his lot/house and the lot/house gets sold.

Taxes have now been implemented.
You guys will enjoy the Mayor breathing down your neck with brotherrdly tax prices :)

That is, until you kill him
