I stealhop in a jeep to go see how Haythem is doing.
"You're gonna be fine."

I pull out my lawn chair, table, and radio and begin relaxing again.

ooc: do i not even get a thanks from Danna i saved her boyfriends life holy stuff

Xavier is curiously looking around, wondering about the major lack of inactivity.

Haythem is now in a vegetative state, and doctors say he may never wake up. This is because a large, thin shard of shrapnel hit him in the back of his head.

Danna cries for a very long time, and refuses to leave his side.

I was called in for a debriefing later that afternoon. Intelligence officers prodded me for quite some time over the details of the engagement, particularly the ones involving the A-10 in the moments before we returned to base.

Shortly before the hostile group bugged out, a Flanker came in from the side and managed to get a few rounds on the A-10 in a snap shot. The bandit was taken down almost immediately, and I didn't think much of it at the time because Haythem wasn't showing any signs of injury and I figured the bathtub was able to stop the bullet in its tracks. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case.

After receiving word from the hospital about his condition, command began hinging on whether or not Haythem should remain in the 86th. If you include the fact that he directly disobeyed orders not to go out on sortie as well as purposely neglected guidelines for engagement, Haythem could easily face some of the worst the military has to offer. We seriously might lose one of the only dedicated close air support pilots in the squadron.

I left the debriefing area overcome with mixed feelings. The terminal was eerily quiet as I walked back to the barracks.

I think back to Haythem's A-10. I look back over to it. It hasn't been moved, or even touched by the mechanics. I approach the side of the nose, where a a decent amount of holes can be seen. They appear to be caused by bullets. I notice there is a exit hole in the canopy, with some blood splattered on it. I step up the latter and look inside Haythems roosterpit. There is a decent amount of blood. There are exit holes in the consoles along the roosterpit wall. I then notice a fragment of what appears to be someone's skull. I turn and throw up all over the tarmac, step down, and proceed to stare into the distance, processing what had happened.

I leave the debriefing area angry. On one hand, Haythem disobeyed orders, and is seriously injured, possibly dead, and on the other hand, he's the best at CAS we've got.

"HEY GUY WHAT GO ON."

"YUKTOBANIA STRONK YUKTOBANIA STRONK"

I leave the A-10, put my stuff away, and go inside. I find Steele leaving the debriefing that I missed yet again.

"Is it against our doctrine to use multi-million dollar fighter aircraft for strafing runs or no? Because I'm pretty sure our only ATG is out of action,"

OOC: Am I mod yet?

To clear things up, Haythem never noticed that he we injured because a large amount of adrenaline was pumping through his body.

Danna was just going along with the crazy amount of laughing.

I am going to now play Danna for the time keeping.

It was a bad day, oh so bad. "Haythem... I never told you I love you, but..." I start to cry, and the C.O. knocks on the door lightly. I tell him the whole story and he nods. We sit there in silence beside Haythem.

osht now hes danna

"No. I don't really give a stuff as long as the things on the ground explode. If that happens, all's well that ends well."

"That A-10 is the best tank-killer our squadron has, nothing is more geared for CAS and all out destruction than one of those things. Also, Danna, or whatever her name is, she isn't a pilot I don't think. I know the A-10 has dual flight controls, but she wasn't as experienced as Haythem,"

wait a minute..

what about..
