Author Topic: Screen Recorders? (OP EDITED)  (Read 2868 times)

Fraps has best quality/speed. But that quality is off the charts to the point where 1 minute of screen recording will take up a gigabyte.

If you want good file sizes AND good quality, go with OBS's record to file mode. It works great.

p sure this is because it's uncompressed, which might be good depending on what you do with your files

though odds are that won't matter too much

It's uncompressed, yea. Which IS indeed good in some cases, but not in a lot of other cases.

I like 1080p but it is annoying how when i record in it every 4 minutes takes up like 4 GBs of space when using fraps

Here is some:
Fraps
Bandicam
EZvid
Mirillis action
Hypercam

Lol that's piracy...
Talking about piracy is against the rules
bye

Torrents aren't necessarily piracy

In the context of non-free screen recorders, it is.

Unless it was a free program that was distributed through torrents.

except the intended implied meaning is still obvious even if it could be something else

All of the one's I know of are trials.

Fraps and Bandicam are two applications which are worth trying out.

I said BANDICAM DOESENT WORK!

OBS  It keeps saying i need Windows Vista or NEWER???  I have loving XP

yeah your OS is outdated

upgraded to 7 or something

Bandicam - fps is hell1

what im exactly looking for-

Low size when done recording2
FPS over 503
Records over 20 mins
FREE
Doesn't Require Survey to download4
No Trial time
It doesn't need but- Video Editor

Any other suggestions?

1The reason why you are getting bad FPS while using recording software is not the program's fault your computer can't run a simple program that just copies your screen and audio.
2Most recording programs record in an uncompressed format so you have higher quality video after you finish recording and because a lot of them can't compress video files. (You can go get premiere pro CC trial at adobe.com for free and it can compress video format files.
3As mentioned earlier the FPS you get is based on your PC's performance, if you can't get good FPS on a simple recording program you are definitely not going to be able to run high quality professional software with a decent frame per second. Get a better computer.
4Usually software that you attempt to download that require surveys to download are either re-uploaded pirated software or viruses.

My evaluation of your problems would say your PC would probably run well somewhere in the Windows Movie Maker range.
