I don't know what the hell that has to do with it being called the printer, but it's really unnecessary.

I think what the OP means is to select a print with alt fire from the brick you are looking at.
Just so you don't have to scroll to the print you want if you have a brick with that print in your vicinity.

This would be useful for terrain building as you swich a lot between grass and rock and stuff.

OH WAIT. its like a default duplicator. He means the alt fire should select a brick or group of bricks and "print" it somewhere else.

I think the printer could have a much better alt-fire to put a title on bricks like that old event that could do the same thing where it looks like a player's nameplate.

Like the printer being a seperate brick selector sort of.
Instead of having to find a print brick in your inventory, you alt fire with the printer and it automatically pulls up a ghost print brick, for then which you can plant and then use your printer on directly.
