Author Topic: Internet Neutrality laws are gone, ISPs can now block websites.  (Read 6074 times)

Three billion online lives ended on January 15, 2014. The survivors of the cyber fire called the war Neutrality Day. They lived only to face a new nightmare – the war against the ISPs.

Warring Internet Service Providers?
WISPs!?

Propaganda time!

If they block the forums, I think a few people will be strangled by the various forum members.
Edit:I don't know if this is a coincidence or not, but my small website just got taken down.

The market won't let website blocking happen. I bet you if any providers actually tried this they would go out of business almost instantly.

The power of choice lies in the consumer.

i think we should all just move to the netherlands

It's a paradise

Goodness, this has the potential to end up being like North Korea in a sense; companies could block countless websites and force people to pay to go to the sites.
North Korea? Because the United States totally has a little 10 year old friend for a president and at least we have a infantructure and military thats not based off 1950-70 stuff. And North Korea doesn't even have internet at all, almost their entire country doesn't have power or food. So yes. Compare us to North Korea.

If anything this can be like China, but I highly doubt this is going to be nearly as bad as China.

So far nothing bad has happened yet, we just have to get net neutrality back before everything starts getting blocked at will.
