Author Topic: RUST Megathread  (Read 2164 times)

The only aim in Rust is to survive. To do this you will need to overcome struggles such as hunger, thirst and cold. Build a fire. Build a shelter. Kill animals for meat. Protect yourself from other players. Create alliances with other players and together form a town. Whatever it takes to survive.

WARNING: Contains violence and caveman themed nudity.

I don't know how popular a topic for this game will get, so I just made this simple.

Well I mean do you have a server or anything?

I'm actually considering purchasing a Chicago server if anyone's interested.
The modifications I'd probably use are Rust++, Halfcraft, Doorshare, and No sleepers.

I've been planning to buy this game, Is it worth the money? Does it get boring fast?

looks like an interesting game but i don't really think i'd be willing to pay money for it
maybe whenever it's finished

i really want this game

If you like this kind of game genre it can be very fun if you have a friend and good communication. I'd say it's got at least 40hours before it starts to get boring at it's current state. Once there is more to do and find then this game will be much more interesting.

My biggest disappointment so far is that this game is very much NOT about using low tech weaponry and tools like advertised in the trailer.
It can get to the point where most players have M4's and full kevlar and run around killing new players for fun. If there was a way to remove M4's or make them uncraftable at least that would be amazing. I'd really like to see more Handcannon/Pipeshotgun fights.

Rock out with your rooster out!

i bought it and have only played once so far

i spawned, someone was noclipping around throwing shotguns at me, and then i went on a murderous rampage killing at least 7 people and taking their stuff

If you have patience the game can be really fun. You also should have a decent amount of free time so you can at least check in on your base regularly...

Why would you remove sleepers

Because a game forcing you to be active is a bad game. I don't see why anyone should die and lose their stuff when they aren't even playing.

If I get the server It'll probably be a 50 player unless I decide to spend a little more for a 100 but I don't really know how populated it'll get.
