This is 100% possible even now, can be done with vehicles. Remember though, shadows that are casted will not be as fancy and will look how they do currently in Blockland. Clouds will look pretty stuffty as well.

In Minecraft, Sonic Ether's Shaders has volumetric clouds, which change shape and can be touched, all in real-time. This is 100% possible. The shaders in Blockland could be edited to add volumetric clouds.

They are dotty but that can be easily fixed.

I do not believe the systems of blockland would be able to handle it. The engine is already so buggy with shadow's.
