monster hunter
I knew you would show up here in a loving split second.
I'll think about that, I don't even know what it is.

ZombiU, Pikmin 3 and Rayman legends if you don't have it elsewhere.

Play the demo before buying it. It's pretty much the whole "gameplay" experience. If you can get something out of it, lock yourself in a padded room because you will definitely go postal at some point. The people who like the game are mostly just fanboys or "buyers remorse" people closing their eyes whenever one of the billion bad design decisions in the game pop up. Only good thing about MH3U are the crazy armor designs that all look pretty cool, but other than that the graphics (and the game) fail to impress and leave a dissatisfied taste in my mouth.

Only get pikmin 3 if you have a wii mote and a nunchuck. Having to aim and move with the same stick is handicapped. The Nintendoland version of Pikmin is infinitely better just because you use the gamepad to throw pikmin and it even has a co-op mode.

Also Zombi U is a bit slow, but if you know what a survival horror game is and can stand a few useless gamepad features (e.g. the sniper scope function), you should have fun with it.

Rayman Legends on the other hand is a loving must have. It's an awesome platformer. If it had been released as an exclusive as a launch title, Wii U would've fared much better.

wind waker hd if you haven't played the original already

This is what everyone that is mad at the game because they can't beat Barroth or Gobul will tell you.

there's a reason the Monster Hunter series is so popular, best game on the WiiU right now.

There are plenty of reasons why the game sucks ass. Do you want me to list them or will you throw more handicapped "Oh you just hate it because you're not good at it" excuses at me?

Anyways, this isn't a thread for arguing about whether or not some stupid game is good or not.

The game clearly does not suck ass, It's just made for certain people who are not you.

If a game is good it should be able to appeal to everyone. MLP (which i personally believe is garbage) was made to appeal to young girls. You know the rest. Sure, some people see games from different perspectives. A thing one sees as a con another sees as a pro, but It's all about what glasses you look at it trough. It is okay for a game to have some flaws if there's something to excuse it. For example: Skyrim is a buggy corner cutting unpolished mess, but the game world is huge and the exploration is immensely fun and addicting. MH3U has lots of flaws, but nothing to excuse it. It is a mediocre gaming experience at best. The HUD is confusing, the comedy in the dialog is redundant, the characters are wood, the fighting system is way too complicated for what the actual fighting is (dodge, hit, dodge hit), the game has tons of inconveniences and small problems and the way of tutoring the player is the exact opposite of what is considered helpful: walls of text with out any interactivity. It's just grinding for more gear until you're at the point where you can grind for more gear. A game like Minecraft has some of these same problems, but it has been considered the magnum opus of video gaming for some reason. Probably because it doesn't make an attempt at giving you a tutorial when it knows it can't make a proper one directing everyone to the discussion forums and FAQs, maybe it's because the game is simple, maybe it's because its an independent game and MH3U was made by Capcom. From what I've heard, the multiplayer is fun, but even cancer is fun when you have friends around, so it doesn't count.

But then again that's my opinion. If you like the game, feel free to do so. All I'm trying to do is to let OP know that the game is nowhere near anything supreme and that it probably isn't for him.

No, Let's not water everything down to appeal to everybody.

Zombiu is ass. There is only one melee weapon and your going to be using that one weapon for most of the game.

Haha, oh man, time to tear some ass open.
If a game is good it should be able to appeal to everyone.
That is simply not how it works. By that logic there is no such thing as a good game.

MLP (which i personally believe is garbage) was made to appeal to young girls. You know the rest.
Beyond irrelevant.

The HUD is confusing
The HUD was designed assuming you have intelligence above that of a squirrel. There is nothing confusing about it, it is in fact one of the most well designed and straightforward HUDs in modern games because there are really just three gauges to keep track of and an inventory bar. If you cannot comprehend that, it is your own fault for having subpar intelligence.

the characters are wood
The game is not about the characters, they are there as a means to an end.

the fighting system is way too complicated for what the actual fighting is (dodge, hit, dodge hit)
This is again a matter of you not having the apparent brain power to process pushing buttons, they are not going to over simplify the system to appeal to people like you who are too lazy and/or stupid to learn how combat systems work. It's apparent you wouldn't last a second in any game that uses any form of button combinations.

the game has tons of inconveniences and small problems
Such as...? Elaborate if you're going to make stupid points so I can properly invalidate them.

the way of tutoring the player is the exact opposite of what is considered helpful: walls of text with out any interactivity.
There is a manual. Read it.

It's just grinding for more gear until you're at the point where you can grind for more gear.
You can fight well beyond your equipment level with the necessary level of skill. Keyword being skill, if you can't even figure out waht you're doing, of course you're going to trap yourself in a grinding rut, and that's your own fault.

From what I've heard, the multiplayer is fun, but even cancer is fun when you have friends around, so it doesn't count.
This was so astronomically handicapped I won't even bother myself.

But then again that's my opinion. If you like the game, feel free to do so. All I'm trying to do is to let OP know that the game is nowhere near anything supreme and that it probably isn't for him.
You can't say "yeah but that's my opinion" and then immediately say "my opinion is right spread the word." That is not how the world works. Also, more importantly, your opinion is bullstuff that's probably fueled by your general inability to play the game, none of the attempts you made at justifying your opinion are at all valid. The closest thing to legitimate is that the characters are flat, but that is because the characters don't matter. The only plausible point you had was on something that doesn't matter. Well done.
