I really doubt anyone would launch nukes over a civil war. Like there are like literally 2 reasons I could see nukes ever being launched, 1.Rogue state allahu akbar'ing it, 2.Someone launched nukes at them. Now #2 has pretty much 1 reason, that's that some rogue state allahu akbar'ed them.

You guys expect the worst from these things. What will really happen is either:
A. The Russian army just moved around showing off their toys and then leaves a few weeks later
B. Nothing happens, Russia stays in their naval base
C. Russia finds some sort of justification to send in peace keeping troops, Ukraine becomes a puppet state. NATO condems Russia, does nothing. A few minor embargos and sanctions are placed.

A. Tiny country gets invaded and we go into WW3
