the us likes to get involved in things that don't matter to us.

Historically when the US politically isolates itself the world gets itself into a stuffhole.

Gonna be Vietnam all over.

U.S. is soon going to join if it actually breaks out into a civil war. Draft will be reinstated, and Russia will nuke us in retribution from fighting their country. Goodbye North America.

I kinda hope your joking.

Pre-world war 2 was isolationist. Since then we have been interventionists as long as the issues are a threat to US interests.

The Prime Minister left to Russia (old news), Putin is probably holding him under asylum. Putin is most likely furious that one of the closest countries to Russia is leaning towards the Western World. Deep down, this man has a fear of westernization.

Western culture consists of people buying things to live. You work to get money, government taxes some of your money. You buy food, water, electricity, and a home to survive. Then the rest of the economy consists of people buying tvs, fancy shows, and cellphones. Basically the culture of buying stuff.

Sooooooo Putin just got official approval from Russian gov't to use troops on Ukrainian soil in Crimea.

Apparently Russia has pulled their ambassador from the US.

I REALLY hope this won't escalate to a new world war, because i live extremely close to Russia.

What I heard about 20 minutes ago was that some member of Russian parliament suggested that their ambassador to the US be pulled because he thinks Obama insulted Russia. Nothing about it actually happening

Sounds like Russia are hunting for excuses to start something. I hope its just precautionary.

I wouldn't doubt that Russia wants to take control of most, if not all, of Ukraine but I certainly don't think that it's something they consider important enough to create excessive and undue global political unrest over nor do I think they consider it more important than facilitating the amalgamation of the parts of Ukraine that wish to become part of Russia and, most importantly, ensuring that they retain control over Sevastopol and preventing those from the West that wish to become part of the EU from coming over and starting trouble.

Russia may not be the most respected nation but it's not run by idiots who don't understand the importance of maintaining diplomatic relations with the world as best as possible in this day and age.
